TAKING BODY MEASUREMENTS PART TWO
- Shoulder: measure from the tip of one shoulder bone to the other
- Bust: measure round the fullest part of the bust
- half length: measure from the nape of the neck to the navel, then subtract 1" from the number
- waist: measure round the waist
- blouse length: the length of the blouse from the nape of the neck
- blouse length roundness: measure the width (roundness) of where the blouse length stops
Measurements needed for a basic gown bodice:
- Shoulder: measure from the tip of one shoulder bone to the other
- Bust: measure round the fullest part of the bust
- half length: measure from the nape of the neck to the navel, then subtract 1" from the number
- waist: measure round the waist
- Hip Line or depth: the distance from the waist line to the fullest part of the hip
- Hip: measure round the fullest part of the hip (or butt)
- Gown length: measure from the nape of the neck to the desired gown length
